Update 1st November 2020

Following the most recent government announcement, The Royal Silverdale will remain closed for the foreseeable future. We hope to bring back our charming local pub & restaurant as soon as possible and thank everyone for their support at this time.

My family business has been running since 1956, I am the third generation of Holgates who have had the pleasure of providing holidays to hundreds of thousands of guests. It is with great sadness that I write this post but given the seriousness and spread of Covid-19 I do not have any choice.

As of 25th March Holgates Holiday Park’s, including The Royal Silverdale, will be closed until we are advised otherwise by the government.
These are unprecedented times. We all have a responsibility to consider not just ourselves but to the people of our country, the local community and on our parks.
We are having to make decisions and take actions which were unimaginable a few weeks ago to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

We are not accepting any new guests arriving in any rental accommodation with us. Guests staying with us currently should arrange to depart by Wednesday 25th March 2020.

We will be contacting all customers who have a 2020 booking with us. Initially we will be contacting those with an arrival date in the next 4 weeks. We would be grateful for the support of customers requesting a transfer of date or a credit note in preference to a refund. Bookings can be transferred to the 2021 season and any credit notes will be valid for the 2021 season. Please bear with us, and if possible do not call us as we are already experiencing a high number of calls and this will just slow down our processes.

We ask all private owners and seasonal touring customers who are not on park not to come and if you are on park to please depart by Wednesday 25th March 2020. We are following government guidelines so closing to protect you and wider society. We will be contacting private owners and seasonal customers shortly and again ask you to wait for this communication prior to contacting us.

I urge you to co-operate at this difficult time.

Finally, may I remind you that every person you speak to on the phone, who responds to you by email, who you engage with on social media is a person, a member of my team who is doing their best to help in these unprecedented times. Please be kind, my team and myself are doing their very best.

Be kind, stay safe,
Michael and everyone at Holgates Holidays Parks.
